I see a couple of oops in your message.

I could definitely agree that the hiring of Susman Godfrey was not forseen or they never would have revolted against Equity (declared them an adversary) and left them out completely

The "declared them an adversary" occured well after SUSMAN was on board as the EC's legal team.

"do the work yourselves" from the EC.

The "do the work yourselves" came from ROSENTURD not the EC.
