Re: Subscription info...

Just realized the infopops weren't working on these pages.

http://www.investorshub.com/boards/about.asp

http://www.investorshub.com/boards/upgrade.asp

http://www.investorshub.com/boards/subscribe.asp

Fixed them.

Can't think of any other pages that list the features like that...

Might also increase Happy Hour times. I think it's severely limited now.

I honestly don't even remember what times it is now, I think the FAQ is wrong. Will look at code.

"Any good ideas out there..." Asked by: IH Admin [Matt]

Sure Matt, lots.

But Matt, ever wonder why over 50% of ideas submitted to you by members
reside in the sphere of "whats good for a particular member," versus IH?

You want "Lets make IH make a better bottom line for its owners."

Sure, "Whats good for IH is good for its members."

Or, not.

But, it can be if IH+SI's owners own up to the special relationship
that its members have intertwined inside the corporate goverance
as non binding partners of the wantoberich types.

Think: symbiosis, synergy, and maybe even synergism.

Now, answer why IH is not like a KKD in this regards.

But, hard for you to reply to a gotmilk post when my style,
as being demo'ed here, repells your head into a mental barf bag.

Gosh, be like BobZ and deal with it.

But then, that was then, and this now is different.

Even grubmasher has flipped me into a bit bucket with two bottoms.

Conclusion: Happy Hour has been proven to be good for IH's growth.

IH's growth: (aka) near future IPO makes BobZ & Matt filthy rich

History Time Line: Prior to IH buy SI, and IH using Happy Hour
Event: BobZ's post to None(?)
Stating: Happy Hour a good thing, and where come from was not knowned.

Sounds good.
I'm sure when "Happy Hour" arrives on SI,
that this person [DougAK/gotmilk]
will rejoice in an un-sour dough yeast leaven experience.

Bottom Line: Where did IH's, and to be on SI, come from?

I see they apparently still haven't plugged this gap that allows people
to send PM's to people that have it turned off.
I suspect the other one I'm aware of isn't shut either.
Just wanted to say that I PM'd myself a link to
http://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=17363241
when I first saw it, and though my initial reaction was
"too difficult and I don't see anyone liking it",
the idea has really grown on me.
I'll let you know when/if I do this and how it goes.

Not only did BobZ never acknowledge to me in private or public a "thanks,"
but even when I replies to his mentioned above IH public post about not
know'n from where IH's Happy Hour came from, Bob still could not bring
himself to thank me.

Then just a week or two ago on SI after SI Admin (Dave) spoke that
SI needed the proven good IH Happy Hour on SI to advance growth
in the pay'n membership, that he was willing to use that idea to help
increase the value of SI, but was unwilling to link a value connection,
to where the idea as a suggestion, came from.

"Then...all you see is a 'hey you need a subscription, to do that'
if you hit a page that requires one..."

Add the IH Happy Hour days and times to the 'hey you need a...'

(i.e.)
The feature you tried to use is only available with a Premium Subscription!
... features available to FREEs versus Premium subscribers are listed in chart below.
... and FREEs can try them out during IH's Happy Hour that takes place during
hours of... for days of...

ok, done

Ever hear that politician of long ago down south, Huey Long(?)
... "Either you is "for me" or you is "against me."
(aka) vote

Now let me identify one of IH's VIPs
(i.e.) Paulie C.
Its like this,
If you want to be "in" with me, you need to be "out" with gotmilk.

For sure everyday Sheriff Matt receives signals of,
"...to eat a ½ dozen KKDs."
(or)
"...give IH's das boot to gotmilk."

got milk, or got pettiness

Consider giving them a free Premium membership trial for a month after they have been bumped up to 18 posts per day. Should also include a countdown clock like a lot of the beta softwares use.

For you, Mattu, I'll waive my usual fee:

The difficulty in converting freebie members to premium status lies in the fact that you give them everything they really need or even want for free.

Non-paying subscribers can create boards, post 18 messages daily on "stock" boards, and set up people and board Favorites lists. Basically, your ensuing sales pitch is that, for a fee, they can also scroll, search and socialize.

In essence, you have given them free appetizers, soup, and entrees. Now you're asking them to pay for dessert. The problem is that they're stuffed. They don't want any.

Without a doubt, you can take steps to marginally and perhaps significantly increase your conversion rates of new and recent members. (Perhaps you could select two from the many ideas that will be offered and conduct an A/B split over a three month period.)

But...

The best way to convert the freebie old guard is to offer them disincentives to remain non-paying. (Slash the daily post limit in half. No favorites. No iggies. No bread. No water.)

At present, you're giving away the store.

IH Admin [Matt] asks: "Any good ideas out there..."

Well Matt,

gotmilk's well has not run dry yet eventhought you Bob & Dave
still drink from it and refuse to plop any coins in it for luck.

Here is an idea, #msg-5193754 not directly of FREE to Premium,
but as a way for IH to ad for FREE on another web site, maybe.
