Australian Resource tax. Feelings are running high on this subject. This is a fed grab for the states income. Currently resource royalties are paid to state govts.

Back in the 70s there was an ongoing W.A. secession movement funded by Iron Ore mining magnate Lang Hancock. Lang died and the movement with him. Maybe he was before his time.

In the last federal election, Labor(Rudd)won in every state except WA.
