A 3000VAC step-up transformer directly connected to the 30 breaker would yield only 1.1A for current. That's why a power amplifier would be needed. The only downside I can see to that is the increased resistance, yielding lots of heat, perhaps too much for the components. This is why I'm asking the board. If you know for certain it's not possible, please explain why.
