Only in the dreams or nightmares of liberals. Ronald Reagan's ideas were his own, and he had stated many of those ideas decades before he became president. Reagan used to have a political radio commentary that he wrote himself. Try to get a copy of the new book on Reagan, its called "In His Own Hand" or something like that. Even most Reagan supporters underestimated his intellect.

My son was doing some research for history class, he said Ronnie was sharp enough to reconize Bush Sr. for a snake in the
grass. Considering that Ronnie had to have been suffering from Alz. for years while in office it must have been pretty blatant slithering on Sr.s part.
Are you saying that the reason most folks liked Ronnie is because he was a mediocre actor? Sort of a sympathy thang goin' on? >g<
