as the best bid or best ask MM drop off and go home, the next MM price in line takes his place.-ie lower bid/higher ask. means nothing

Don't know if that's a rhetorical question or a serious question. I'll take a swing here.

It's not unusual for that to happen after hours. Nothing significant in relation to the real stock movement. It usually changes at the opening bell.

However, I have seen traders bite at the high ask after hours when making a purchase before the market opens. (Who knows, a newbie might think the price is going up, so better jump on the wagon before it's too late)

I just recently saw it happen in while watching level 2 on the opening bell. The same after-hours, abnormally high ask price was reflected in the first order of the day on the opening ticker. I think the orders were placed based on the higher pre-market ask price. Unfortunately, the ask dropped significantly immediately after that order and the pps continued to drop throughout the day. I felt sorry for whoever placed that pre-market order.

i dont' get this either...i tried to hit the bid today and there was no bid to hit..whats up..how can they do this ...allow no one to sell off the bid...something fishy going on with this stock!!! So then i put an offer to sell on the offer and didn't get filled either?

who was able to sell today and if so what platform did you use.
