keV..could you tell me why DELL picked Wave

instead crappy WinMagic?

that's the million $$$$ question!

Oh...let me guess the answer.

DELL picked Wave because it is a 1000% better product than WM.

stay tuned for the Hewlett Packard /Wave deal. Oh and BTW, my
guess is that WM will be out of business in three years or less.

What is important is

that there is no degredation in my laptop performance with an SED and ETS. There is the degredation when software encryption is used as offered by Winmagic as Doma points out.

So this is indeed good news for Wave and all SED manufacturers. Which includes pretty much all the disk drive manufacturers in existence. (What do they know that Gartner seems to be avoiding? I think Gartner should want to know the answer to that question!)

An off the shelf Dell Latitude 6500 tricked up with SED.

Even when presented with first hand information and testing, he (that's you keV) draws a conclusion that's 180 degrees opposite the data.

You all crack me up...about WM

There will be wins and losses for wave and other competitors, which is great. This sales action only proves the industry is finally taking off. And if WM was sooo good, why are they not bundled with the big boys?

Software is fighting for its life and will survive, but not without giving up a big market share chunk.

NO one can monopolize a market again (thx Mr. softie) so WHY does everyone bust a nut when wave doesn’t win every deal??? Time to wake up and stop thinking the company sucks and the sky is falling because we don't bat 100...but who does?

Regardless of what anyone says or predicts, the market is GROWING and wave will get a good share.

keV, do you know that Wave was involved in bidding for this business with Bayshore Home Health?

Level of FUD increasing as to WHY WAVE couldn't sell it in lieu of WM

EDIT: KeV I believe he is mainly comparing disc to solid state. Solid state access speeds are much faster than spinning HDDs....regardless of encryption or not.

awk, Hey someone has to be realistic around here. And although you seem to want to take a stab at me lately which I don't think should be acceptable behavior, I hope you're doing well.
