O.K. I need a tissue please ExB. I knew your story from hearing you tell me in bits and pieces but reading it as a testimonial really tugs at my heart strings. I will soon have a story, and in fact already do, that reinforces the character of Monk. He truly is the most unselfish and generous person I have ever met.

And thank you for helping me to find my way to him!

Exblockman, thanks for sharing your life with us and letting us know that even when your back is against the wall, and it seems that there is no way out, there is light and hope for all of us in these crazy recessionary, oblabla times. There is so much to learn and so much time. I think patience is the key to making a very good living and I'm believing that it can happen based on your life, and many other posters on this board. I'm looking forward to meeting you and Monk some day in the near future!

Ex-Blockman, I took the time to read your experience and frankly, I wish to tip my hat to your courage! It not only takes a desperate situation ..but takes a very strong person to just listen and trust someone else in a time like that.

I woud also like to extend my deepest sympathy for the loss of your close ones as I know how difficult that can be having lived through it when my dad past away... I share your pain and understand how you can say that you think of them everyday!

I wish you and yours a fantastic year 2010!

ExBlockman...You will never go through things in life that God can't bring you through. I thank you for your testimony and the blessings you impart to us who may be going through some of the same stuff in life...no one story will be like your...because it is yours, unique and honest! What a testimony for the Monkster and I pray you (personally)give some of the glory to God. I wish we all had a success/sufferage story like yours but most of ours are still being written. I can say the one constant between all the rest is God (first) and the Monk Man. I am blessed to have both of them (God and Monk)and you in my life! May God richly bless you beyond belief!!!

#159394 RE: Ex Blockman #159152

Ex Blockman, Thank you for sharing your story and I am also sorry for your loss. I can also relate, as I lost both of my parents many years ago. You have a great story and you were blessed to find Monk just in time. I am so happy that things have turned out so well for you.

This is my first post at the Den but, as you know, I have been lurking for almost a month now. I am also very grateful to Monk in the short time that I have communicated with him via PMs. He has such confidence when he gives advice. I had lost money early in the year. Fortunately, I found him in time and he suggested that I sell a stock that I was in and add CDIV. That was a month ago and you know I am thrilled that I followed his advice. After I saw how well CDIV performed (and continues to), I decided to also add GRNO and EIGH. There is clearly a BIG difference with his plays than the "Hope" stocks as you guys put it. I am much more at Peace...not to mention a nice "calm" GREEN color that is beginning to surround me. :-)

I look forward to learning more and will definitely attend a Monkinar when I can. Who knows...if the CDIV squeeze happens this week, I may still have a chance to go to Phoenix.

I want to thank joelwy who was actually the first person to tip me on CDIV which led me to Monk. I didn't act on his tip quick enough when the stock was at .05, but, at least, I ultimately did. Finding Monk has already been a Life Changer for me, because I truly believe my dream of resigning from my current job and just trading can be a possibility if I follow his plays.

Also, I find his kindness and generosity very unique. He could keep all of his knowledge to himself but yet he doesn't. He shares it with others and is confident in his recommendations. I am also very impressed with his consistent and strong support of his plays. He doesn't just give a play and let others do the work. He is there offering guidance and also buying at higher prices.

I am looking forward to being able to share a great story too one day thanks to Monk.

Monk, thank you again for your patience and kindness in answering my many questions via PM. You have a zillion posts to deal with and you've always found the time to respond to me. I am your follower 1000%! Also, you have some new followers as well, because I have made sure to share my good fortune in finding you with others.

Ex Blockman, Thank you again for sharing your story and also your kindness with me. Also, LoneGrey and BlackThought have also been very helpful.

This is such a GREAT group of people and I am VERY happy to be a part of Monk's Den! :-)

God Bless,
V

Very happy to here that you have come back from your financial problems and now flourishing!

You too have payed it forward to many on this board with sound advice.

I've only been following Monks picks and the Den for a short time, but stories like this is why I love this place.

EX, thank you very much for sharing your story. I knew some of it, but not in that detail. I think that I told you at Monkinar2 that you are the reason I joined the Den and attended Monkinar2 in LA. Saw your name and results posted in the Joenatural board and was quite impressed. I saw that you posted a lot in the Den and started checking out the Den in general. Was pleased with the kindness, helpfulness, sense of family and positive environment here, without the numerous bashers and negativity of so many other boards. Anyway, I'm very happy that your life has turned around because of Monk. Everything you said about him has proven true for me, and his advice has really helped me as well. I recommend him and the Den whenever I have the chance. Continued success to you and all of the Densters, and you as well as Monk have inspired me to Pass It Forward.

amen brother.

that sounds very familiar.

change the name and stories alittle.

the time line of events! whoa! I joined ihub
when a stock was running and did well. Then the koolaide
was served in high doses. I have since recovered. It left a terrible hangover. If it weren't for my diviersity in establishing several means to earn an income and my gifts and abilities to over come..my family would be in bad shape today.

So the willingness to create change and make it a better day and tomorrow and with the prinicples that we can now share in order to help others are upon us. This is how we all get out of the hole.

thank you for sharing your story.

all the best

May the year ahead bring you further prosperity.

I am not near in the situation you were in just really looking to pay off debt and pay off the house I have under construction. I even started with more than 2 or 3 k you started with. You think about just doing the things I want to do do and then you see where people are quitting their jobs and doing this full time. The freedom that would create is unreal. I started on Feb 18th and am up 200% in one stock, 100% in another and just got started in one today. Hope I can have half the success you have had. Thanks for sharing...

Wow, ExBlockman, like a lot of other people have already said, that really is a great and very encouraging story.

I've only been here about a month now, but even my limited experience with Monk tells me he is a very unique guy. Anyone as busy as Monk is who responds to a PM from some random person he doesn't even know (i.e. me) with a message saying call me at this number is kind of amazing. I did call him, and after I got off the phone, I was scrambling to try to figure out how to adjust my schedule and convince my wife that I needed to go to something called a Monkinar in PHX. She's still a little skeptical of the whole thing, but the past month of CDIV is starting to make her a believer.

Anyway, I'm guessing you'll be in PHX as well, right? It'll be nice to meet you and some of the other people behind all these posts.

Ex Blockman,

I read your testimonial and I wanted to let you know that for someone in a similar tough situation this offers a lot of hope. I had the pleasure of meeting Monk last weekend and I just knew that this was going to be a life changer. Your post affirms this.

Like you I own a business. I bought it in August of 2008 just before the economy crashed. I used an SBA loan with a personal guaranty and my Wife as a guarantor. Needless to say things have been very tough. I am hanging in there, but always wondering how much longer this can go on this way. If I can't keep this together I can lose everything.

My first Monk stock was CDIV. I didn't really understand the concept at the time so not wanting to be greedy I sold it after I made 50% at .21 I recently bought EIGH at .051 and have about 80,000 shares. This one I am hanging on to! I also plan to attend the Monkinar in Indy since that is the next one coming up and I want to do this ASAP.

My hope is that I find a way to make a nice income off the FAS and FAZ while generating capital to use on future short squeezes. This will allow me to put money back into the business instead of drawing it to live on and could very well save my rear end.

I look forward to seeing you here on the board and maybe even at a future Monkinar. Keep up the good work!

#164229 RE: Ex Blockman #159152

Thanks for sharing your story with us, Ex-Blockman. It was a truly inspirational read. Encountering Monk and the Den has meant a great deal to many of us, myself included, though I have been here only a month. As I read about the rocky road you have trod over the past years, I thought about my own, and how I lost my Dad in December of 2008, and then my job in July of 2009. I know we are far from alone in the financial troubles department. This economy has many victims and many criminals which have done much to victimize them.

I'll briefly relate my story, though it is not as difficult as yours has been. I lost my father to cancer in December of 2008, which left me the sole member of my family. My father had been very prudent financially, and had prepared for a long stay in a nursing home, but unfortunately he went sooner than expected. I was left with the modest family home which was paid for, and a decent amount from insurance and the annuities he had left. I am still grateful he had planned his finances so well, because I wound up with a reasonably sized nest egg to work with.

I too was managing a business which was heavily dependent upon the home building industry, and after a stellar, record breaking month in January of 2009, we fell off to almost nothing. Since I was the highest paid employee there, the owner decided to lay me off, and I was left with the nest egg from my father's estate, with which I had been swing trading with some success (though not spectacular, it was giving me more income than the job.) Well, of course, I was an amateur with only modest trading experience, and though I tried to be cautiously bold, I made the classic error of riding a couple of plays down and losing about half my account. My biggest holding, BIEL, had actually done pretty well for me, producing a twenty bagger which I was foolish enough not to take profit from when I should have. Instead I added more on a dip which instead became a downward slope and wound up languishing.

Then I heard about CDIV on the Money Runners board and looked into what was going on over there. It took about ten minutes for it to dawn on me that this was the chance of a lifetime, and I began selling off my hope stocks and went all in on Monk picks. Since then my dwindling cash account has doubled in value and my IRA has almost tripled. I am learning more every day from Monk and the rest of you, and now realize how the shorting action of market makers likely led to many of my previous woes in the market. How sweet it will be to take back what they stole, thanks to the very generous Monk and the wonderful crowd here. If fate allows, and if there is a Monkinar in Texas anytime soon, perhaps I can be of more use to the team in upcoming plays, since I exhausted my powder fairly quickly on CDIV and only have smaller core positions in the others.

Thank you Monk, Ex-Blockman, and the rest of the team, for my renewed success. It has been a life-changer meeting this group!

Hi Ex Blockman

Thanks for the post. It's a nice post and keep my heads up hoping to get a turn around like you had. I had lost about 90% of my saving due to multiple investment that went wrong and has since relocate back to Taiwan as the cost of living is much cheaper here. I wish I could've attend the Monkinar, but it's not likely. Are there other ways I can learn the methods or get tips/recommendation from The Monk? Maybe a webinar?

Incredible..really incredible. Thank you for your story.

Monk, you deserve everything you whish for. There aren't many people in the world like you - and I don't even know you well. I came just the other day here and been following ever since. I don't have any funds at the moment, but I will immediatly step in when I got something.

Once again, thank you for the inspiring story - really.

A beautiful exposition Harold, thank you so much for sharing your story. The trials and tribulations you, Francine and your family have endured and have soared above in such a short period of time is a true testament to the power of friendship. I look forward to meeting you and Monk someday, and I know I personally have observed you giving back 200% of what was given to you here in the Den! I know in the future there will be stories told about you just like you speak of Monk, because paying it forward is the only way to do it! Friendship, trust, integrity, kinship, teamwork, humility, love, these are all characteristics which typify Monk and they clearly typify you as well sir. Thank you as always for sharing.

Wow Ex B, that is quite a story my friend. I am so glad to hear that you have improved your situation now. Monk sounds like a wonderful guy, I really can't wait to meet him in June.

I have a very good feeling that I will become a Monkinar follower as well.

This is a very moving story Ex B, sorry to hear about your losses. What a great thing it is that you found Monk :-)

Can't wait for the Monkinar~!

Wow Ex~ That is the first time I read your testimonial~incredible to say the least my friend~Jerry is by far and away one of the most amazing individuals I have had the pleasure to speak with, he is truly a gem~

I was also new to the entire OTCBB market, luckily for me it only took a short while to "accidently" come across a board called "monk's den"...and it has truly changed my vision with respect to investing..but more importantly it has brought me to meet so many fantastic people...

I will also put together a testimonial in due time sir~ This is truely a life changing experience~not even just the financial side of things~but the people we will meet along the way~

Thanks EX B for sharing your story.
We never know what life will bring us. I am quiet new to investing too and happy that I found this board and great family.
I picked up some C***'s friday at .32. not so many but it will hopefully
give me some more power for another pick in the near future.

Wow Blockman... when I first came to the boards and after reading I realized you're pretty well-known around the boards, but (thanks to the iBox that I just recently discovered) I didn't know your background or the extent of it.

First off... sorry to hear about your family.

Secondly... it's always nice to hear that you're grateful of course as I'm sure you really are but even better to hear that "I will be attending as many Monkinars as possible in the future to meet as many Den members as possible while honing my trading skills"

It is interesting hearing the roots of the Monkinar. I don't want to speak too heavily on the matter but it seems like this probably strengthened the Monk Den family as well.

Good story and background overall. In the future I hope to attend a Monkinar near Ohio and hopefully hear/learn more.
