I'm glad to see that you're back and I hope that conditions are such that you'll be sticking around. We need more real engineers posting here. Amatures like myself can get in over our heads too easily. LOL.

Tony

Good to have you back. I'm going to do something I haven't done in a long while -- imagine the future for Wave. This is not to be considered advice, but it is meant to be Bargian to state not only why the impossible is possible, but probable AT SOME POINT IN THE FUTURE.

The one thing that nobody talks about is why SKS has suggested from time to time that this is a billion dollar company -- maybe multi-billion.

IF IF IF things become standardized, they get built into the computer.
SKS has talked about things becoming standard at a certain point and being built in -- cd drives, bluetooth, wireless, etc.

Well, I believe at some point down the road (the usual time frame was always 18-36 months, what if the emergence of vPro and the hypervisor REQUIRES that TPM MANAGEMENT has to be built into the system.

We suddenly go from 0 to 100 miles an hour. Undoubtedly, I'd trade the COGS for automatic royalties in every maching that requires management.

How much does revenue go up if ERAS is standard on 10% of Dell enteprise machines? While we chatter about tiny stuff after all the years of frustration, management has stayed focused on putting TPM management software in everything.

I usually try to find the reasonable middle ground, but on some days like today -- the middle ground gets buffeted (pun intended) by the grander vision of the younger SKS who when asked how many machines do you expect to be in - in 2006 answered "ALL of THEM?" Well his timeline is off, but at 5 million a quarter and counting, I'm still glad I placed my bet with the guy some people I like a lot discount far too much. Persistance, Vision, Technical Skill -- that's what Wave's Biography is going to be about. I might change my mind and write it yet, but only after I can visit my relatives in LV and PARTY! Then again, maybe after we can all afford to fly to Australia for party number two with Tony.
