So let me get this straight, the DVD or game never goes back to the company but instead is sent in a peer to peer fasion among subscribers? Relying on a universal honor system that each subscriber puts the undamaged title back in the envelope? How about instead of GZ doing this you set up a website that would allow subscribers to trade DVDs and Games on line with the site acting as the coordination center, I mean, we don't them and this way, we can get the Chinese involved more quickly. LOL.

Takes too much time with current bandwidths to download, computerwize. The estimates I've read put it out to the year 2010....

Hamburger

First they would have to get the USPS to buy it for every one of their offices.

Then they would have to download new addresses for the chip daily or even hourly. Then they would have to pay the USPS to sort bundle and bag the pieces. They would also have to pay USPS to hold unassigned pieces until they are reordered by a new customer. What about the customer that receives the DVD after the previous customer used it to scrape paint off his old ford or the dog chewed it up?

In other words, you are asking the USPS to take over distribution and warehousing of your product.

Not going to happen until Buck Rogers gets the job of Postmaster General.

If GZFX spends that money on R&D and patents the smartchip system, it would have a permanent (20yr) advantage in the industry

Yup and the USPS is going to spend billions to outfit every PO in the country with this system just so one small company can have an advantage over its competitors.

Go back to the drawing board. That idea sux.

How much does it cost to open a new distribution centre?

Gee. I don't know.

Registered mail is about the only mail currently tracked like your idea would be tracked. What is an extra $2 per piece gonna cost?

VOD is a non-issue until broadband is more widely disseminated. Also, VOD has no portability at present, whereas portable DVD players are becoming ever more popular
