I just looked back to see what you were talking about and noticed one main thing. The guidance you are referring to was updated 3-10-08 for 2008, right before the official 10K results came out. That's why they hit it so close.

I can't find where they first came up with this $100 mil for 2009 but the global economy was very uncertain in the first part of the year. Maybe they will update it after third quarter numbers come out. Hopefully

My experience with their conservative nature was on the CC after last quarter's earnings came out.

They spoke at length about acquisitions, bringing capacity on-line, etc. They were asked specifically if they were willing to raise their EPS for Q3 at that point, and said no, even though anyone with any sense at all could tell they were going to do better in Q3.
