Bruce, I should have started this whole thing by saying that I'm still using Windows98 on a Dell Dimension 4100.

I don't see that Systems Restore under the Systems Tools, and I ran a find search and couldn't locate it either. I'll look for it again this evening, and go on to the next steps in the process.

I think I have FINALLY found out what the problem was on my computer with the start menu popping up out of nowhere and the screen shaking with other windows popping up and resizing my open browsers!
It dawned on me last night that whenever the computer would have one of these "seizures", it always was happening when I had my hand on the mouse. Never happened when the computer was idle nor when I was using the keyboard. I decided to use the mouse from my other computer. So far, since I have done this it has yet to have "a fit"! Sounds too easy, right? That is why I want to wait and see if this is the culprit.
Wouldn't that be hysterical if that is the reason for all the problems after all we did?!!!
I'll let you know the outcome!
