I don't agree. I don't think much of most corporations. Their goals are short term. They waste a lot of ultimate value in pushing PPS in the short term and those PR's reflect that mentality to me.
I know most large companies do it that way, and I know it's because their share holders like that. I know it's the way most people expect a professional organization to run, but I don't have much respect for the whole game and most of the players.
I have had contact with the management at F-3 and I like how they lead and manage. Their strategy won't bring in big investors like most of the corporations who do a big IPO to kick off and work on a quarter to quarter basis to keep the idiot share holders happy. But they don't need those big short sighted investors to fund the company. They are covered, they own their own company, they don't have to play the game, and they are looking out for the best possible scenario with the best possible pay off.
The true long view is almost extinct in the world, but it works a lot better, and it pays a lot better return. F-3 set themselves up so they could use that long planning and optimize their position to get the best returns ultimately.
It's probably not the best 1 day, 1 week, 1 month hold, until the month, week, and day it starts rolling up, but it's an excellent investment for maximizing returns over a couple years or maybe a little more.
They know what they want to do, and they are not about to play the short game at the expense of their goals to make ancie share holders happy. They have been hitting the mark on those goals for years now, and a couple more is totally planned for and expected.
I think between here and there it's going to move. I won't sell because I don't want to be out when it does and have it cost me several times what I am in for now to get back in. It's a personal choice and I sure wouldn't blame anyone for selling if it's not meeting their goals.
I am convinced that most of what keeps FTCH down in it's trading pattern and range, are longs who keep beating on it so they can get more before it goes up. I don't think that kind of manipulation is cool, and it used to bother me, but not really any more.
