I've downloaded, installed and run the Adaware and Spybot tools. They detected and I deleted hundreds of items.

Haven't gone to the Ace Utilities site, but will later today.

I notice that I've still got a toolbar, that I have not selected, for Begin2Search.com.

Later tonight, I may uninstall my browser and reload from a disc, to see if that clears that away, too.

I sure appreciate you guys. Seems for all the a**holes out there trying to destroy the internet, there are some good people trying to preserve it.

Bruce, thanks for all the help. So far, I've only downloaded and used Adaware and Spybot. Next stage, I'll download Ace Utilities (maybe this evening), and then on to the other suggestions you've made. Really appreciate your help.

This morning, after I updated Adaware, it found and removed the Begin2Search stuff, including the IE Begin2Search toolbar. We'll see if it stays gone.

All told, Adaware has removed about 900 items from my system.
