Not if all of the present-day cars (numerically speaking) were electric or electric-hybrid. IMHO, the infrastructure is not there to serve the 60 to 100 million American cars on the road.

Regardless, it is a mandate from the feds to start mixing fossils with ethanol and the introduction alternate fuels. Just look at Brazil. Their comsumption of fuel is at least 85% alternative, such as ethanol. If they can do it, why couldn't we? GO EVFL!!!
