I agree with you, anvil.... The 14-9 may not be optimal. But a company in Quest's position has to do the best with what they have. That has been their goal all along, making the best with the limited resources they have.

While I was there I got the feeling that they were not producing solidly yet also. I never saw a truck pull up and get loaded this time like in the past. I'm not speculating about production levels though. It is impossible to gage that reliably in a 45 minute visit. I was quite encouraged to see coal flowing off of the belt as I pulled up though. The monthly operating reports that are filed with the BK court tell a much better story about production levels.

It coincides with what I saw and heard when I was there, and the pictures that I took. I just can't trust that EC is serious about this. For all I know, he just keeps things dragging along to earn a paycheck. You might think it seems like a lot of trouble going through court, etc., and running the mine, but if the pay is good enough, why not?
