I am with you, no trust for gene. I fully expected gene to get the mine up and at least partially producing if not full production. I still don't believe it will ever be profitable, particularly with Tarun sucking off 50% of gross profit and lending it back to Gwenco at 17% interest.
This is doomed for failure, which leads me to agree with Pedro and KOP, that gene and/or tarun are setting this up for a run under a different ticker, as they buy it in Chapter 7.
If gene would of been smart, he should of rehabbed the lower cedar grove first, that is better coal and the seam is consistent. While the pond creek is more popular, it always has been an inconsistent seam going for 48 inches to 24 inches and up to 36 on and on.
