(Geneva) -- While it doesn't foresee a jump in serious swine flu cases, the World Health Organization declared today the recent outbreak is at the pandemic level.
It's the first flu pandemic of the 21st century.
WHO Director-General Margaret Chan said it's likely the illness will continue to be of moderate severity with patients having mild symptoms and quick recoveries.
Meantime, the brand new chief at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the WHO's declaration of a pandemic for swine flu doesn't come as a surprise." ........................So maybe global trade will be hurt later this year as the pandemic grows...this could be deflationary and money could seek safe haven in the dollar again
