Gatticaa, the greatest value that Interdigital has for any company wishing to enter the wireless arena would be their patent portfolio for use in cross licensing.
I do see Interdigital being bought out or taken private but less likely by a company that is already rich in patents in 3G and beyond.
Possibilities would be Microsoft, Apple, and various others. Even Google could benefit from ownership.
Many here will state that these are not possibilties, but an honest assessment would suggest otherwise.
