Could Intel or BRCM be interested in purchasing IDCC?

With all this criss cross, adding scale, JV stuff going on, it seems intel has yet to make a move, but needs to go there. And since it all seems to be about "who you know" and not "what you know" or "location, location, location", just what would the assets of IDCC worth in the hands of intel, rather than IDCC itself? Just where does IDCC's LTE work stack up against the rest?

I hope it doesn't go that way, but i'm not as convinced as others it couldn't.
