For example, one simple explanation. It is no secret that Caroni and Bruno and Gib have been in a longstanding feud. Seems to me that being in a small round table discussion group with just a few other people in that setting would be quite awkward especially with the way Caroni behaved at the Big Sleep Conference in Chicago last year. Just present the data and avail oneself to answering questions privately to those interested later.

I can think up several other possible explanations.
