IE 8 Beta compatibility view and iHub

Turned off the compatibility view mode for ihub and the problem returned. The compatibility function is a toggle on-off that can be set for each web site. It is a small button on the top line of the IE 8 screen located between the right side of the address bar and the refresh button.

Function of the compatibility veiw button use is described as: websites designed for older browsers will often look better, and problems such as out-of-place menus, images, or text will be corrected.

With the compatibility view turned off, the iHub main screen http://investorshub.advfn.com/ loads fine. The screen can be scrolled and the mouse pointer can mouse over any portion of the screen without problems except within the area at the top of the screen:

Whenever the pointer goes over any of the hot link areas (Login, Home, Register Free! Mailbox, etc) the entire screen below the bottom edge of the IE 8 tabs turns white (including the entire hot link area) and stays that way until the mouse pointer is removed from that area. If the mouse pointer is left in the hot links area, with the screen below the IE 8 tabs being white, tapping the F5 key will bring back the entire iHub screen for 2 seconds before again turning white. During that time you can click on a hot link to go to that respective page. Identical behavior happens on all loaded pages that contain the top of page hot link area.

This happens while using the IE 8 Beta browser Version: 8.0.7000.0 supplied with the Windows 7 operating system. Updates to both the os and IE 8 browser are done automatically by Microsoft. The version of IE 8 released at noon yesterday to the general public is not available for use in Windows 7.

Hope this information helps.
