If CMKX has 400 billion shares out, which I believe it does, then getting a borrow shouldn't be a problem. So why take the risk of shorting naked?

I guess this is where I'd like to look at some charts that show the daily volume averages over an extended time frame, since the other X # of A/S were released again this last fall.
It still seems that with the billions of trades going on every day, that shares actually purchased would be over 400 billion. The volume is still SO high on each trading day.
I guess this is one of those things I'll have to pull out myself and really really look at. I'll add this to my ever growing list of dd.
