I could not agree more. Walmart is ruthless in that they want the best possible price. They really don't care how much it cost to produce a product. That’s your problem. IF they were to carry BT/LP it would be at a price that would be below cost of production. It would be completely counter productive to have them carry the product if you don't make money doing so. The only reason the big drink makers can offer their products at Walmart is because even thoug they can sell to them at a bargain price, they still make big money because of volume.
If I were to guess, Walmart approached Coke/Pepsi first which means the drink makers had the advantage in negotiations since they knew Walmart needed them.
