Economic freedom is just about gone. It's only been 6 weeks and already taxpayer funds are being used to fund offshore abortions, for embryonic stemcell research, and to fund United Nations Eugenics organizations. Used clothing and toys are now illegal to sell. Entrepreneurs and businesses are not allowed to drill for oil where it exists and now coal is under attack. Nuclear power is not allowed either. The percentage of income that the American taxpayers are allowed to keep for themselves was just lowered and at the ame time goods and services are about to see the tripple whammy. Inflation, corporate tax hikes and cap and trade. I am sure you will say that it is the businesses raising prices and not the government but it is the controlling government behind it. The controlling govt feels that they know better which charitable organizations should receive funding so they have also just lowered the amount of deductions individuals are allowed to claim for charitable giving. Small farmers are seeing laws that make it impossible for them to make a living selling food. Trillions of dollars have been stolen from us and our decendants and redistributed to corporate raiders and social engineering programs. Taxpayers are being forced to pay their neighbors mortgages now. 30 million illegal aliens are roaming the country and no matter how forceful the citizens are in demanding that existing laws are enforced, they are simply ignored. Radio stations are going to have to seek out minority opinions and express opinions that are for the greater good to be defined by congress in the future. Any employer that hires a woman will have to promote her everytime there is an argument to be made that she is as qualified as the others being considered thanks to Lilly ledbetter law or face the possiblity of govt funded lawsuits same with other groups. Anytime the govt grows freedom retracts and the govt is growing at an alarming rate. They are just getting started.

Just to whet OTC's appetite, here are a few things.

Drive a car without wearing a seatbelt.
Same with motorcycles and helmets.
Smoke in an office, bar, etc. even if I own the place (at least in KS).
Kids and bicycle helmets.
Get on a plane without taking off my shoes and having an ID without a major cavity search.
Zoning regulations
Use of eminent domain for the benefit of private companies.

I know, I know, public benefits over personal freedoms, but a loss nonetheless.
