nuffie, ... "by tentacles I mean Hackman Dhonau, Flaherty Edwards, Turino, Haseltine and more"

Those tentacles are all over CMKX.

But, why do the tentacles have to come from them only?

People here have posted here that the involvement of Frizzell gave him a valuable list of gulliblers. Deli Dog was selling shares to gulliblers at a profit. There is speculation about who he was acting for when playing broker (all of it, so far, rank speculation - as is the following).

Isn't it possible that Deli Dog was using the list of gulliblers to find those who would buy the shares he was dumping? Given that he's a very, very stupid scammer, did he have help?

Why did UC choose the Tyler twins to hand over control of CMKX? Sure, they filed suit against him. But, before they did it they were apologists for him. And, they sure haven't done much else but file the suit. Where's the money? Heck, where's the service?

It's entirely possible, isn't it, that some of the profits from the Deli Dog sales went back into CMKX to give the appearance to the gulliblers of action against UC - all the while people "in the know" (TOGI?) were dumping even more shares on the gulliblers to redistribute wealth.

As I said, just a theory without factual support. But, it is now clear that the dumping didn't stop with UC.

It will all come out in the wash. ... eom

Those are mostly people that urbie met at the casinos. If there's one common thread, it's their penchant for gambling...with other peoples' money of course.

I guess i should more clearly explain my comment. IMO, CMKX was a scam from the beginning. it was conceived as a scam, operated as a scam and died as a scam. it was never meant to be anything else. It never could have been anything else. the fact that a thousand hangers on came along to carve out their piece of scam pie, does nothing to change the essential fact that it was a simple scam.

It didn't start out as a legitimate operation/idea and then get corrupted because this person or that person got involved. UC never had any intention whatsoever of running a business. his only thought was to steal as much money, from as many people as possible and as quickly as possible. the fact that he had others help him along the way, doesn't change the fact that he is the central bad guy.

All the rest is just detail. Very, very interesting detail, with lots of bad guys who should all go to jail. My explanation isn't as clear as i would like, but I get the feeling that people are over analyzing this, trying to justify UC or their own decision to buy because "everything would have been fine if it were not for A or B or C or D or XYZ getting involved." Lots of bit players and a supporting cast of dozens here, some with vital roles, but the main characters were the Casavants & Edwards.
