Why do you assume the AS will be reduced? It would be a remarkable thing if they did that - and pinks have been known to do so - but I think it's likely that only the OS will be effected.
The point of this RS, according to the company's statement, is to raise capital through the sale of stock. Reducing the AS would not make any more stock available to sell.
I don't think they will reduce the A/S. They already stated the reason for the R/S was to increase the dollar amount of the shares allocated for the Austrailian Centepiede maker.
The 4.8 bilion was, in part, to pay for that transaction. Accoding to what they have said, the R/S is to increase the value of that 4.8 billion shares so they can buy the Australian Mario Brothers.
So why would they reduce the A/S when it's not valuable enough as it is?
