Buckle Migration Buoyancy Modules

Deep Offshore Technology Asia Pacific (Dec 2008): Hall A/512 | Updated on Aug 21, 2008

At higher temperatures and pressures a pipeline’s natural tendency is to relieve its axial stress by buckling. Left uncontrolled, this buckling can have serious consequences to the integrity of a pipeline. In the past, the industry has relied upon restraining pipelines by trenching and burying or in-line expansion spools. As a solution, Flotation Technologies designed its Buckle Migration Buoyancy Module. Buckle Migration Buoyancy Modules decrease lateral friction and reduce severity of buckle bending by using buoyancy to decrease the operational submerged weight of the pipeline. Buckle Migration Buoyancy Modules are custom designed based on customer specifications and provide integral clamping systems that are able to meet axial and torsion load requirements.

Very much so, Deep Down has held its own very nicely!! By the way, you do not see any screen shots of Ron curled up in the fetal position sucking his thumb because of all of these finance issues. What we see here is Ron in a leadership position taking care of business and working over the week end!! Business as usual at Deep Down............

I think this is a bottom area but of course the market is the "decider."

We're down approx 75% from the 52-week high in October, '07, and considering the revenue increase coming from Flotec which was not a division at that time, I think this area may well be DDI's low.

Of course the "Selling Shareholders" may have a say as to what the price will be depending on how they treat their shares.

AIMMHO.
