I guess what I am saying is that I don't believe QCOM has had to make any consideration for licensed phone mfr's ip in the past, or at least they have kept quiet about it. Other than the discounted Nokia deal, all we've heard from QCOM shareholders is 5%, or at least 4%.

bulldzr: Looking at the IDCC PLAs that have been made public, they have a non assert clause and/or a cross license clause. As usual with IDCC PLAs the terms vary with each license.

Thanks! OK, so according to the contract terms (fine print), any licensee of QCOM ip and patents is required to grant QCOM free access to the licensee's ip and patents. Fine, and that's good; I hope IDCC has similar wording.
