2 Things are abundantly clear.
1)They did not have/believe in "sealed till Eternity" 2)The o/t IS different. The Holy Spirit to reside with people but the "functionality/SEALING" factor did not exist in the old. Infact, NOW we can boldly go before the throne IN PRAYER through the Holy Spirit to the Mediator Jesus whom makes intercession for us to the Father.

TO MAKE HEAVEN- YOU MUST BE PERFECT. AND/OR- REPENT. AGAIN, AND AGAIN AND...Thus sayeth the Lord. **which is possible-hence the funtionality, call it the Holy Spirit brings to the believer.**
