so was that what the SLB guys were doing at our shop a couple weeks ago? were they there to have the proteus shipped? have we been storing the joides proteus all this time until a couple weeks ago? or did they bring it back for some tweaking prior to shipping to singapore? anybody know, or can yall tell from JDS' joides minutes?
"Design Logging Systems - A shipment consisting of the wireline heave compensation (WHC) system, the SLB workshop, and miscellaneous LDEO equipment departed Houston on June 12th and is expected to arrive in Singapore on July 30th. A shipment including radioactive sources as well as explosives is being coordinated for arrival in Singapore around August 21st. The SLB and LDEO wireline tools will be shipped in early August for arrival in Singapore no later than September 21st. LDEO and SLB continue to have weekly conference calls to track the status an planning on all projects."
"• August 2nd to August 9th: Perry Pierre (SLB Mechanical Engineer) will work on the installation of the WHC system, sheaves, and the SLB workshop. • August 21st to Sept 8th: Gerardo Iturrino (SODV LDEO Project Manager), Kerry Swain (SLB Field Engineer), and an SLB Electronic technician will arrive in Singapore for the installation of the equipment in the logging office, telemetry lab, and downhole measurements lab; work will also include running cables from the logging office to the telemetry and downhole labs, from the telemetry lab to the logging platform, to the SLB workshop, to the underway geophysics lab, and to the motion reference unit (MRU) in the mud room; installation of junction boxes and termination of cables; installation of racks and equipment in the laboratories and offices; testing all systems including preliminary functional tests of the WHC system."
