#41065 RE: ergo sum #41061

ergo if the war has been going on for a 100 years, what does it have to do with Israel?

You know as well as well as I do that Iraq, lebanon, syria and saudi arabia have never signed a peace treaty with israel after starting the 48 war, and they are directly responsible for any refugee problems which resulted from their own war and after they refused the UN on multiple occasions to even sit down at the conference table in 1948 to discuss peace and refugees

When is the arab world going to accept responsibility for the middle east? When are they going to accept collective guilt and blame for all of the turmoil? When are they going to pay reparations, make peace treaties and strive for the honor of peace rather than victory by sword. When will they honor creation rather than destruction

Ergo, what are you talking about, 242 calls for "return of land for peace, mutual recognition and security" and " (nowhere it says "all the land, mind you and that was intentional, to allow the parties to negotiate), well, Israel gave back some 90% plus of the land and signed peace agreements with Jordan and Egypt, both willing partners in negotiations, where are the other partners?

Ergo you might check 242 for the mention of palestinians: I dont think its there. Therefore the resolution has a particular ambiguity: in order to give back something, there has to be somebody to take it. In the case of Jordan, they already made peace and signed the land over to Israel, as sugested by 242. Subsequently this land became occupied. I never understood how this happened, but it shows the power of propaganda.

It appears that if arabs occupied it, it was just land. but if jewish israelis lived on it, it was occupied.

correct me if 242 says palestinian state
