I liked this from the CC (thank you DD).
"We're working to bring these negotiations to a successful conclusion over the next few weeks."

But this not so much:
"And so if we were not able to do a partnership for ATryn commercialization development in the United States, on terms which we believe reflect the value of that product, we certainly could take that product in the hereditary-deficiency indication into the marketplace ourselves with a relatively small number of people, maybe a dozen or so people and we will keep that in our back pocket."
Double gulp!
A nice thought but they don't have the money.

The perpetual almost deal keeps me holding on to my shares and adding to my position at these prices. I added 29000 shares at 0.59 today.

Management had posited $6 million (?) from a partner for Atryn from 4Q 2007 and not delivered. I suppose that this may be the upfront amount on the table for the current deal. That amount does not solve their going concern issue (for 2008 20 million plus 6 is 26 million which is short of the needed 28 correct?). Could milestones for submission of the final BLA section this summer be included? In addition the priority review status is very important to bring a milestone for approval quicker.

My hope is that management delivers on the strong wording they put forth regarding the partnership discussions. The stand to loose much credibility if they fail.

Dew, Dr. Cox made mention of a letter in Nature re inflamatory nature of DIC, is this referenced in the RMF section? Also I thought your questions were great. Can you speculate on the following: one of the authors of the letter (or article) was from Scripps the other from J and J I believe. Interesting that this info should be dropped during the call. One wonders what the impact of recognition of the importance of AT III by a J and J scientist (if I did not misunderstand) might have on J and J being acutely aware of this product and in active negotiations. Now that would be a good thing. bp

Don’t mean to blow smoke up your skirt but if it weren’t
for your Dew Diligence I'd have run a long time ago.

LOL maybe I should have. No I'm not saying they won’t make
it or that they will. I certainly am not saying you are
responsible, I’m making my own decision.

Its just that I only understand 10% of what’s in print
and I need this information to make my decision. I could
never have done it myself cause at .60c it does give one
pause.

So good investment or bad, you have been exceptional, tireless,
relentless.

Thanks
