Facts and reasonable assumptions

Facts:
1700 total computers
65 TPM equipped when first announced

Reasonable Assumptions:
Desktops and laptops are replaced on an upgrade cycle
Current figure possibly double the original figure, say 130.

"So far the total cost is $6,900; the estimated savings is $22,000."

At $130/upgrade the cost is $53 each.(right in line)
Savings is $170 per upgraded unit.

Probably higher than the 130 number but highly unlikely the entire 1700 units. PG's may have gotten a bit of a break for being a launch customer. Who know's.

I don't have a problem with this particular statement or the math, but I do reserve the right...

Gotta catch a plane to NYC

stocWatcher and 4X,

Cahalin and SKS are right on the money. I don't know where you get off knocking them. The numbers look very good to me. Much better than the $30.00 per seat.

Standard reatail pricing for anyone doing their homework per seat for (client upgrade, ekms, eas) is 150.00 per seat. So for 65 laptops that is 9,500 so the 6,900 number either reflects some small discount or price changes on client upgrade from 19.00 per seat to 49.00 per seat and may or may not also include standard maintenance costs. The functionality for the price compared to any software only protection eg. pointsec is quite favorable plus you have the protection based on hardware.
