Pellet size was the obvious answer i thought too but they reduced pellet size to either gain better release profile as claimed or for patent protection. However, elites tech is both in pellet size and release profile based on the patents they have. So is it that they have their own tech on pellets which they do, or release profile on the original size which they also do.

I know these two conflate but patent wise they are different

They may have identified a legal and regulatory pathway that gives them a chance to commercialize sooner than the market expects. If they have a winning Paragraph IV challenge based on particle size and formulation claims the next major clue will be whether patent litigation appears. If Elite receives a lawsuit from Bristol Myers Squibb and Pfizer, invetors will know quickly that this is more than a routine generic filing.
