The reality is NICE won’t reimburse because the data is not super convincing. That’s why NWBO hasn’t submitted reimbursement evidence almost 6 years post data lock. As I have been saying, it will be a conditional approval, and no NICE reimbursement for couple more years.
NWBO is not positioned to be able to take a loss or the cash flow problem created by up front costs to make vaccines at a rate as sizable as true demand created by NHS reimbursement at Flaskworks based cost would create. They would also not be able to manufacture at pace for true GBM and rGBM demand without Flaskworks so a reduced demand scenario had to be created while Flaskworks fitting out of the Class C clean room space gets full GMP on site validation and ready for true demand. This transition time must be as short as possible so that patients can gain access through unrestricted NHS reimbursement or the numbers of patients wanting treatment without actual access will grow very rapidly and create problems which will only grow worse when DCVax gets recognized as tissue agnostic and much more effective with Poly ICLC and combos.
