#5221 RE: gfp927z #5211

gfp: Japan won't leave our orbit. They need us for defense and as a customer for their products. And we need them as the first island chain in our Pacific defense. As for Europe it is relatively immaterial if they leave our orbit. They are a net negative as far as being "allies". Most of Western Europe surrendered their countries and their cultures without a shot being fired. Almost all of them are broke. Energy deficient. Militarily impotent. The continent will be muslim majority by 2050. They will continue to buy what they need from us, and vice versa. But Trump has pretty much dismissed them as being necessary to our long term survival. Trump is retreating to his plan for hemispheric defense from Greenland to the southern tip of South America. He's going to eliminate marxist regimes throughout the whole hemisphere. Cuba is next. The bigger obstacles will be Mexico and Brazil. If Mexico doesn't fully cooperate on taking down the cartels we will eventually bomb them ourselves. And Brazil would just require a CIA mission to assassinate Lula. Or create a color revolution. If we can eliminate Lula and enforce fair elections a more pro-American regime would probably return to power in Brazil. Argentina and Chile are back in the fold of capitalism. Central America is getting better after taking a hard line on criminals. Canada is failing. But we are less likely to be invaded through the Yukon from the north. Alaska and bases in Greenland will be all we need to install an improved missile defense system to guard our northern flank. We have 2 oceans to protect us. Hemispheric defense makes sense. We can't afford to project power for much longer. We simply don't have the money.
