Unless LQMT actually manufactures the hinge they won’t receive any money. Apple owns the right to use the technology in perpetuity. They can have any third party make the hinges. At least that’s the way I understand it. If Apple gave the OK for say Samsung to use the hinge, LQMT would get paid. Sammy does not have perpetual usage rights. Maybe Sammy wants the hinge too and would provide Apple some sort of concession to be able to use it. Apple buys quite a lot from Samsung
