Optical interconnects and advanced package integration are foundational to the next phase of AI infrastructure, as they unlock ultrahigh-bandwidth, energy-efficient connectivity across AI factories. This expanded partnership harnesses NVIDIA’s leadership in AI, accelerated computing and networking, and Coherent’s expertise in optical innovation and advanced manufacturing, enabling Coherent to scale its R&D and manufacturing capacity to support the global buildout of next-generation AI data centers.

Obviously, just speculation at this point, but Lightwave Logic’s technology is relevant to the same optical interconnect problem that NVIDIA + Coherent are addressing: speed, power, and integration with silicon photonics. Lightwave has multiple public partnerships focused on polymer-based modulator integration for datacenter/AI networking markets, which theoretically could be used in co-packaged optics.

Companies like Lightwave Logic often enter non-disclosure agreements with large partners early in evaluation/development phases, so involvement may be ongoing but confidential. In fact, Lightwave Logic says it has NDAs with tier-1 companies to evaluate its EO polymers for data center devices.

How incredibly exciting will it be once we get confirmation of some of your Tier I Global Fortune 500 partners?
