Yup, I made purchase today through my brokerage account. They told me it’s been flagged at high risk. Little frustrating and never had to do that before!
This was a limit order of 90 shares @ 11:00 am. They told me they cannot waive the restriction to trade myself in the future. I need to call them if I had to place any amount of AMRN shares, They waived the fee as I couldn't do it myself. Certain members of the trading desk couldn't do it for me as well and had to get a rep who is licensed for TN state to execute this trade. What a hassle. Hope it jumps crazily to the upside like Schwab says.
Been having the same experience with CS wrt Amarin buys for the past month or two. After complaining wherever I could find an ear, spouse and I decided we had enough AMRN shares in our accounts. Pulte, FHFA Director, is talking on TV now about controlling ("manipulating") land and housing prices in diverse ways. Same basic story/problem as equity prices, IMO.
