I have been reading abstracts for hours trying to articulate why gwas exponential number as being suggestive is flawed because of an intuitive sense I couldn’t explain. In my reading I also suspect that having a variant of both sigma1 and the col24a1 simultaneously would be more harmful and affect homeostasis ,autophagy and neuronal metabolism in a more egregious way. In short the gene pool we are concerned about is far smaller than what gwas considers. There are at least 28 col genes and 3 in particular are more pronounced in neuronal function col24a1, col25a1 and col6a1 . Though it is too late in the game I do hope the regulators consider these aspects more than chance data occurance.
