Interestingly, CAT has recently overtaken BRK.B as the largest holding in my beneficiary IRA, but that can always change. that account is very diverse with a lot of blue-chip holdings, eg. BRK, CAT, JPM, KMI, ET, COP, PSX, XOM, NUE, SO, NNI (which certain analysts referred to as the "other Nebraska conglomerate", etc. Deere (DE) has always made excellent lawn equipment also.
PS NNI may be a new ticker for you but has experienced very significant growth over the years. +111% over the last 5 yrs.; +260% over the last 10 years; and it pays dividends. We were in on the original PP outside of any retirement account.
