I remember those parties. My mom held/hosted her share of them.

We sill call it bleach, but kleenex has been replaced with snotties.

You probably never went to a Tupperware party either or locked down cabinets with a little one crawling around.

A little Tupper?

We could have field tested vacuum cleaners for Consumer reports.

That must be sort of disappointing for you. It seems to me it's only been within the past five or six years or so that vacuums have reached peak technology. Now they do practically everything but feed the dog, and probably that could be arranged.

I have terrible luck with vacuums. One after another that sucks, but not in the right way.

I went to a Tupperware party once.

I moved to Toronto when I was 21, didn't know anyone but somehow managed to be the token guy with a group of 5 Jewish girls. Their religion is not really important to the story, just a fact.

So one of the girls invited me to her Tupperware party. I told her I have no interest in buying Tupperware.

She told me it doesn't matter, there will be free drinks and food. Woohoo!

I guess she needed a guy to make the thing a success.

I ate, I drank, bought nothing and went home, alone. The ladies there gave me a massive headache trying to have casual conversations.
