Just think about it - would Sabbagh, Missling or anyone else say 'hmm - well to tell you the truth we are not really sure what the CHMP will determine, or there are some questions about the MAA that we are not sure are satisfactorily responded too' - of course not its is a public traded company! A throw away comment like 'its going great' cost nothing and is not really saying anything specific to get anyone in trouble.
When working for a large corporate I and other senior managers were media trained - exactly to know what to say and not say to all sort of questions analysts and press would throw at us. So you respond with some that deflects and sounds like answer without specifics.
