I get your point that it might be what Dr. Sabbagh said to Mayo, but I never read that he complained about being mis-quoted as he did when he responded to a publication by letter or email and asked to have that corrected!
I just can't imagine Sabbagh doing this especially when he is so well thought of by the whole world.

I had a similar reaction to his report, so I asked Mayo how Sabbagh delivered that comment. Mayo said he was very enthusiastic. I asked if that was his general persona, and Mayo said that it wasn't. Sabbagh was very matter of fact, but in this one instance he got animated. So I don't think Sabbagh was giving a corporate response -- I think he was genuinely excited.
