TA's only value is to the extent that it creates a self-fulfilling prophecy. Traders do certain things when they see certain data/patterrns. If every time it rains in Denver on a Tuesday, some people reacted by buying oranges, and others noticed the pattern and started doing the same thing, you could use weather forecasts to fairly predict orange sales.
