Don't those morons know that business printers and public printers actually keep records of what they print?

It seems pretty clear that they don't know much about anything at all.

Not just records of what has been printed, but on some machines, actual images of the documents that were printed.

We have customers that routinely swap out their copiers every 3 years or so when the lease runs out. I tell them to not let the movers take the old copier away until either: a) the drive is securely erased (copiers have that function now) or b) the drive is removed and left behind.
