Well, obviously whomever did the printing didn't think it was a security problem.
But it is incredibly careless - we're looking at you 'chief of protocol'.

Don't those morons know that business printers and public printers actually keep records of what they print? There may even be a government law concerning security and terrorists that any public use of printers retain files for such and such a time. I know the cities I worked for all employee computers were monitored 24/7 as they should be. I also know for a fact that that city's library monitored all network traffic and all public printers. I have no problem with that about public places.

In my time during employment I remember at least 3 long time employees and one short termer that were fired for computer abuse. One for child porn, one for adult porn and 'other'... and the two long timers were passing nudes of each other between their office computers. These computers and printers are on the internal freaking city network. Pretty damn dumb.
