Geophysics does not tell you what’s in a mass of rock, like the presence of certain minerals. It only tells you the physical properties of that rock - magnetics, electromagnetics, conductance, resistance, density and porosity, depending on the type of geophysics. Ask any geologist how many EM, IP or gravity anomalies they’ve drilled and gotten nothing economic.

In a vertical fluid system, heavy minerals sink to the bottom, they don’t ‘settle’ towards the top. Only salmon flow ‘upstream.
