It’s all about the franchise and how it is written. A franchise could be good for an area. Based on an increase in volume (all solid tumor designation is granted) the area could shrink. As long as, the facility has a territory which could provide sufficient volume, why would the franchise care?
So initially, if the designation of GBM is approved, let’s say Valleywise Hospital cuts a deal with NWBO. The deal would be for all hospitals in Arizona and Nevada. Then, the designation changes to all solid tumors. The territory might shrink to Phoenix because of the increase in volume.
Needless to say, Mayo Clinic in Phoenix also has an equivalent lab facility and would like to corner the cancer market in Phoenix. They know DCVax-L and were part of the Clinical Trial. It could get very interesting after approval in the states. NWBO will be in the middle of it!
Use your imagination!
